Hydroponics

Clayballs.jpg

Rock wool

Rockwool is a horticultural growing media made from the natural ingredients Basalt rock and Chalk. These are then melted at 1600° C into a lava which is blown into a large spinning chamber, which pulls the lava into fibers like "cotton candy."

Clay balls

Lightweight expanded clay aggregate or expanded clay is a lightweight aggregate made by heating clay to around 1,200 °C in a rotary kiln.

The yielding gases expand the clay by thousands of small bubbles forming during heating producing a honeycomb structure.

Ideal for Hydroponics, Aquaponics

drainage in pot plants, or as water retention.

Net pots

Net pots allow liquids to flow freely past the roots of the plants they contain, facilitating the uptake of nutrients. As the plant grows, the roots extend out of the holes in the net pot, typically growing down into the nutrient solution in search of food

Nutrients

Plants need thirteen different minerals from the soil in order to fully develop. Six of these nutrients are needed in large quantities.

These six essential nutrients are nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sulfur and calcium. The cool thing about them is that they help create new cells, which then organize into plant tissue. Without these nutrients, growth and survival would not occur.

N.F.T

NFT hydroponics is a method of soil-less cultivation where plant roots are suspended above a stream of continuously flowing nutrient solution that provides them with all the water, nutrients, and oxygen they need to sustain rapid, healthy plant growth.
